KFC chicken at home

I’m sure during Covid19 some people are missing their favorite diner’s and restaurants. I know I am, so I decided to make these easy KFC chicken tenders in the comfort of my own home.

All you need is:

  1. Portion of chicken fillets
  2. 1 egg
  3. Chili nachos
  4. Salt and pepper

Step by step to make this recipe;

  • Begin by preparing your breadcrumbs (nachos). Get a bowl and pour some nachos in, use a spoon to crush these up. (or whatever technique you like to finely crumb your nachos)
  • Add some salt and pepper to the nacho mix once the nachos are finely crushed
  • In a separate bowl crack and egg and whisk it up
  • Cut up your chicken fillets into smaller pieces
  • Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees
  • First dip your chicken pieces into the egg and directly after your chicken into the crumbed mix, repeat the process until all the chicken is crumbed
  • Spray your oven dish with oil or one cal spray
  • Put you chicken in the oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping the chicken half way through
  • Choose your side and enjoy!

Never Mind Big Brother, Dr X Is Watching

When I was a dental student, a band called Queensrÿche (umlaut over the y, not something you see every day) released an album Operation:Mindcrime. A concept album should really be listened to in its entirety, in a single sitting in the same way that you would watch a movie or TV show, but to be fair, Mindcrime’s songs are strong enough to stand on their own – they just ...

Steve, you can't have been happy

A few of my friends, and at least one taxi driver in Swords, know that I have an interest in watching eclipses. As in total solar eclipses. There are other kinds, but I would leave that to people that have Sky at Night on series record and own their own ...

What's the oldest you can be and still have orthodontic braces?

I did an adjustment for a patient’s braces today.

He’s 67.

I don’t think he’s my oldest patient ever but I think he’s the oldest currently in treatment with me (though he’ll be finishing soon, I expect).

Basically if you have healthy teeth and gums and want something fixed that needs orthodontics, we’d be happy to do it. If the teeth and gums aren’t healthy then we’ll advise what needs to be done and work with your dentist to achieve the best outcome.

About 1/3 of my patients are adults.
