Looking after toddlers teeth

We all know how important is it to look after your teeth, but when it comes to toddlers it can be quite a difficult task. Here are some tips to help you and your toddler keep their little teeth clean and cavity free:

  • Buy them a toothbrush with one of their favourite character ( Minnie, mickey mouse, minons) or even something bright that will catch their eye
  • Books or Tv shows that show characters brushing their teeth is always a big hit with my toddler. She loves to copy them and it really helps
  • Get your toddler to practice brushing teeth on their dolly or favourite toy
  • When your toddler is going to brush their teeth try brushing your teeth with them too. It can be something fun for Mammy/Daddy to do with your toddler. Make it fun! J
  • Limit sugary juices and foods. Juices are usually the main cause of cavities in toddler teeth. Keep juices for special occasions if possible.
  • Make sure to praise your toddler when brushing their teeth, give them a compliment and they will be sure to keep up the good work.

  • Sometimes the parents and the child know they want braces but they’re not ready …

Sweden, 1974

Saab stopped producing the Draken fighter aircraft, around about the time that it became the first Airfix model I built.

Sweden was also in the middle of changing its constitution. The new arrangements would make the role of recently crowned King Carl XVI Gustav even more ceremonial — so no invading Denmark unless it goes to a vote.

Olof Palme was Prime Minister. Twelve …

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

It’s a pretty classic question, fairly obvious to ask so I usually explain it before a patient asks me…. but after I know what sort of treatment they need.

It’s a bit glib, but it depends. I think readers might be looking for more than that, and patients certainly need to know more than that, so I thought I’d go into it with a bit more detail. How long treatment takes will depend on a few different things and some of them are more predictable than others.

Firstly, there are different types of treatment for different problems so depending on what’s wrong with the teeth …
