€500 off Invisalign until the end of May 2014

Yes it's true.

Invisalign is a great new way to give patients a better smile. It uses a removable plastic sleeve around the teeth that's practically transparent so most people don't notice you're wearing it. And since it's removable, you can take it out for special occasions as well as everyday things like eating and cleaning your teeth.

It might be that you have always been interested in improving your smile, or it might be that you had orthodontics when you were younger and the result has slipped a bit and you'd like it back to its best. Either way, we can probably help you, and with Invisalign, we might be able to help and most people won't notice it happening.

Along with other orthodontists in the Smile Revolution, Swords Orthodontics is offering a reduction in our Invisalign fee of €500 and we have arranged an Invisalign open night for a limited number of our patients to explain the Invisalign system - if you're interested in attending, please give us a call right away on the number above. What is special about our offer is that it doesn't just apply for our open night - it's valid until the end of May 2014. You don't have to begin the treatment before then, just arrange an initial appointment. Terms and conditions apply, but they're pretty straightforward.

Invisalign isn't always suitable for all patients, so please get in touch without delay and we can find out if it can help you - the initial consultation is free regardless of what you choose, and if an alternative treatment with fixed braces is better for you, we can arrange the same amount off our clear/tooth coloured braces.

Look forward to seeing you...

Why retainers are important

I had a patient come in this afternoon for an appointment that was marked in the diary as “retainer review”.

When I opened up his notes, it turned out that his orthodontic treatment finished over 3 years ago and we hadn’t seen him in almost 3 years. At that stage we had made him a spare retainer and he never came back to us to have it fitted.

When he came in, I said “so we haven’t seen you in nearly 3 years.”

“Yeah, I know. Sorry about that. Really busy with the leaving cert and that sort of thing,” he said. He explained that his retainer was ...

Orthodontics and Mouth Cancer 2025 Part 3...What happened next

After a busy day of orthodontic treatments, I was in the practice one evening doing some treatment planning for the patients that would be coming in later that week and the phone rang with Prof Stassen’s name on the screen.

As he does the jaw surgery and other special procedures for my patients that need them, I’d always take the call when I get it because it usually means something needs to be discussed in detail and I’ll have to make special appointments and the quicker I know what I have to do the quicker I can help my patients. In this case it was “remember ...
