We’re looking for a receptionist to join an established and expanding team that provides high quality specialist orthodontic care. Every day, we make a difference to the way our patients feel about themselves, they really appreciate us for doing it, and you can be part of this.

Position will include:

  • Reception and administrative activity including handling of medical records
  • Helping with general upkeep and care of the practice
  • Scope for training and professional development

Hours for the position are varied and will include work in early morning, evenings and weekends. Flexibility and dependability in this regard are very important to the role.

Excellent communication skills, including fluency in spoken and written English are essential, as is computer literacy. Qualifications and dental practice experience are preferred but related experience in other businesses would be considered. Applicants wishing to work part time are welcome.

After a busy day of orthodontic treatments, I was in the practice one evening doing some treatment planning for the patients that would be coming in later that week and the phone rang with Prof Stassen’s name on the screen.

I have blogged about mouth cancer before. We had mouth cancer screening days in the practice, there was a national mouth cancer awareness day.
