Welcome to Swords Orthodontics

Irish Dentistry's Dublin Practice of the Year

Say Hi to the Friendly Gang at Swords Orthodontics -

Michelle, Brenda and Courtney

The friendly gang at Swords Orthodontics

At Swords Orthodontics, our entire practice is focused on orthodontics – the field of dentistry that deals with the position of the teeth and jaws to get the best appearance and function. Sometimes it’s an art, and sometimes it’s a science, but most of the time it’s both.

We are located in the middle of Swords Village in North County Dublin, right between the Bank of Ireland and Masterson’s Restaurant. In addition to caring for our neighbours in Swords, we also serve the people of Balbriggan, Donabate, Lusk, Malahide, Naul, Portmarnock, Rush, Skerries, Santry, Glasnevin, Coolock, Blanchardstown and other neighbouring communities, and we're close to Airside Business and Retail Park.

Experience, Skill, Focus, Service

At Swords Orthodontics, patients come first so orthodontics is all we do - that way, we can concentrate on doing it well and staying up to date with new equipment, new techniques and other developments for your benefit.

Dr Murray of Swords Orthodontics is a member of Irish Dentistry Association Dr Murray and the rest of the team have many years of experience treating problems with the alignment of the teeth and bite. Additionally, we believe in getting the job done right, so it’s important to us that we provide the best treatment for everyone that we can and that our patients enjoy the process too.

We focus on meeting the individual needs of each and every patient who comes through our door – and not just the ones involving the teeth.

We take the time to analyse the problems and assess and discuss the different approaches to treating them to decide which direction will deliver the best result for each individual patient. This will happen with modern and gentle orthodontic treatment in a friendly, helpful, and reassuring environment.

Swords Orthodontics was recognised in Irish Dentistry Awards 2013, 2014 and 2015

Our office offers a number of different treatment options, including fixed braces (which can be in the traditional metal variety or the more modern tooth-coloured clear materials) and “invisible braces” systems like Invisalign and Incognito (where the braces are on the insides of the teeth). We’ll find a solution that’s right for you.

We know you have busy lives and it’s easier if you can make your own schedule to suit you with as few limits as possible. In order to simplify the entire process for you, we offer very flexible hours for your visits to us (including morning, evening, and even Saturday appointments for some patients).

The Swords Orthodontics Experience

We believe that your experiences with orthodontic treatment should be fun and positive, and we make our practice an enjoyable place to visit – there’s almost always something going on with competitions, videos, and big screen computer games. For our older patients, there’s always a wide selection of current magazines and new newspapers daily, and free wi-fi if you need to connect with the world outside.

We’re also available for you to access 24-7 online. You can follow us on Facebook to see what’s going on in the practice, on Twitter for occasional thoughts on orthodontic treatment and oral health, and read our blog or drop by our YouTube channel for entertaining updates and information about caring for your braces and your teeth.

But everyone knows the Internet isn’t the place where orthodontics really happens; there’s no substitute for coming to see us and finding out about the treatments we offer.

From young children to adults, we are able to treat practically any orthodontic concern. We do urge parents to bring children in for their first appointment around age 7 (or earlier if you suspect a problem). This doesn’t necessarily mean that your child will get braces at this age, but it does allow us to organise an ideal treatment plan which we can put in place at exactly the right time as your child gets older.

And since most of the actual tooth moving happens when you’re not in the practice with us, Swords Orthodontics works closely with our patients to encourage excellent self-care and teach good habits so that you can look after your braces when you go home.

We Treat Adults Too!

Some friendly faces at Swords Orthodontics

It’s never too late to have teeth that make you feel like smiling! Whether you have a special event coming up (like a wedding) or you just feel it’s simply time to improve the health and appearance of your smile, give us a call to learn about adult orthodontics. Orthodontics isn't just for children, about a third of our patients are adults.

Orthodontic braces no longer mean a mouth full of metal, by the way. We are happy to discuss clear, tooth-coloured, and invisible options that will help you keep your mature appearance and professional image.

Give Swords Orthodontics a call today (01 810 7622) to schedule your free first appointment with Dr Murray and the team. We can’t wait to meet you!
